Today we’re really beyond excited to announce our next release in the form of an Empress Of EP. We first stumbled across her colourminute videos late last year and instantly fell for the beguiling shards of pop music contained within. Jack duly headed out to New York and spent the week hanging out with Lorely and Double Denim alumni Celestial Shore. We heard Hat-trick while there and fell even deeper. We had to show it to the world and so here it is. Hat-trick is the A-side to a special EP and one we’re can’t wait for you to hear.

We are proud to announce the signing of Amateur Best for his debut LP. ‘No Thrills’ is out on February 4th 2013.

Too Much is the lead track from No Thrills, Amateur Best’s debut LP and is available as a very limited edition 7” ahead of the record. The song cracks open from a forceful sax introduction, revealing itself as a gorgeous, pirouetting electronic pop tune. Waves of feedback guitar push the momentum in the chorus as the song reflects its title, finally reaching breaking point in the final coda.

Ready For The Good Life is a call to arms to anybody out there willing themselves into better times. The track is the second single from Amateur Best a.k.a. Joe Flory (Ex-Primary 1) and features Chilly Gonzales on piano. Flickering bass drops and pitched drums make for an ominous setting, but the song’s gorgeous pianos and lilting vocals sugarcoat the pill. By the time you reach the conclusion of ‘Ready For The Good Life’ this little pop song feels pretty life-affirming.

We’re proud to announce Mind Enterprises - Andrea Tirone a young Italian producer from Turin. Tirone is now based in London, moving to the city for its boundary pushing dance culture. His productions carry slight esoteric hints, be that the chopped percussion of ‘Summer War’ or the African guitar tones in ‘Sister’. The tunes also bloom with vitality and sounds of right now. Androgynous vocals complete the picture and make for an intriguing and heady blend.
