I came home, poured the wine left in last night’s glasses back into the bottle, and sat outside. I smoked a cigarette and looked at the full moon beaming over next door’s house. Across the street I noticed the silhouette of two people fucking, looking more like wolves howling at the moon in the sky than two people fucking. Her hair arched perfectly, his shoulders rigid - shadowy shapes that joined and departed at fleeting interludes.
Somebody in the house to the left of mine started to play piano. The piece was unfamiliar. An Indian girl from a good family across the road was hanging like laundry over her fence. The air was hot and she cooed towards me like you would a dog or a cat. I finished the wine and went inside.

P.S - Thanks to Warren Ellis for linking to us last week. Planetary is one of my all-time favourite comic books. You should all read it.
